As the Black Lives Matter movement gathers strength in the wake of the killing of George Floyd, PayPal has committed $530 million to support Black and minority-owned businesses and fight economic inequality.

Commerce Dept. Launches $100M Capital Readiness Program For Underserved Entrepreneurs |Roland Martin

We all know minorities, especially black entrepreneurs, have difficulty securing business capital.

The U.S. Department of Commerce has launched the Capital Readiness Program grant competition. It will dedicate almost $100 million to organizations with expertise to assist and train underserved entrepreneurs seeking resources to start or scale their businesses.

Earlier today, I spoke to Don Graves, Jr., the Deputy Secretary of Commerce, who explained how the program benefits black-owned businesses.
