Well, look what just landed on our desk- It’s hot off the press stuff! The first round of DJs CONFIRMED for the Space Opening Fiesta! With the news already on the street that Space is opening on 27th May, this year, rumors have been rife and expectations high amongst the general clubbing massive as to who exactly would be stepping up, literally, and taking on the Space decks not to mention the happiest dance floor in the world!

Space Opening Fiesta has long since been regarded as The Start of the Ibiza summer season, and with that in mind, and living up to its ‘never let us down yet’ reputation, the cogs that turn the wheels behind the scenes have in order to bring the best of the best international talent available to the club for the celebration.

From international DJ demi-god Carl Cox to the brotherly love of music and life that only 2ManyDJs can bring to a dancefloor to Spain’s finest Wally Lopez, not to mention Dubfire, Sasha, Roger Sanchez and Steve Lawler, plus Mark Knight and Blackhall & Bookless and the live performances from Paul Ritch and Uner. Add to that Oscar Cano, Space Residents Remo, Camilo Franco & Paul Darey, and Café Olé residents Danny Leblack and Rafha Madrid and it’s already plain to see that this is going to be one heck of a party.

Asked to comment on his role in the biggest opening party on the island and the sadditional fact that this year he celebrates eleven years at Space Ibiza, Carl Cox said; “Again, I return to help kick the Ibiza season off and I seriously can’t wait. The Space Opening Fiesta always marks the start of the summer season for me and it truly is one of the best parties I have the honour to play at. Last year was without a doubt our best season at Space, marking 10 years at the club and so this year we move forward enlisting a few new troops along the way for my Tuesday Revolution parties.”

About Space Club Ibiza

A cosmopolitan isle since ancient times, Ibiza was taken over by the hippies, who made it their refuge and brought music culture with them; it was the beginning of what it is today: the most famous island around the world.

In 1963 I began a new business and opened the very first disco in Ibiza, in San Antonio; I called it Playboy, which was a very transgressive name for the time. It was something completely new, we had live music and there were many famous faces, internationally known, who visited and left their stamp on the place. It was here, in Playboy, where disco music started to sound for the first time, a crazy and unthinkable sound for Ibiza until then.

From San Antonio to Playa den Bossa, I took a leap across the island to what still is today the apple of my eye: Space Ibiza. It was a concept I had in mind, a dream really, of people dancing in broad daylight. And we made it, we got through the people, we transmitted the happiness that I imagined when dancing under the sun. It was a ground-breaking idea, we opened when no one else did, I think that dancing in daylight is something special, and so did everyone else, it was a total success. Ever since, Space Ibiza has been the icon of daylight parties.
